Terrible day today. Rained most of the day. Snow in the nearby villages. Cold all day. I guess I never should have taken my long johns off.

Beautiful day today. Nice and sunny. Not real warm but okay. By the way, is anybody reading my ramblings or am I justdoing this for my enjoyment?

Boy, it ticks me off sometimes. This morning while delivering the mail I was stopped at a red light. When the light turned green, a car waiting to turn left pulled out in front of me to turn. What bugs me is that this car had one of those license plate things that was either for a fireman or a rescue member. Of all people to take such a chance. Oh, she also had a cell phone to her ear.
Later, while doing a walk loop I saw a young lady that had just come from the cigarette store. She was behind the wheel lighting up and there in the back seat was a strapped in youngster. All the windows were rolled up. Talk about a captive audience. Apparently this girl never watches TV or listens to the radio. Some people never learn.

Our branch of the union collected over 29000 lbs of food. Bristol`s share was 2160. I need to thank retired carrier Ron Williamson, rural carriers Sherry DeGraw,Stan Bigelow,Pete Wisell and Cheryl Dunn. Also City Carriers Mike Brown and Jen Brace. I also want to thank my kids, Tiffany and Shawn. All helped tremendously.
Not to bad today. Still a little chilly but the rain stayed away. Supposed to get up to 67 tomorrow. Sure hope so. I`m getting tired of being cold every day.

Just returned from our monthly Union meeting. A fair turnout. Rained all the way up and all the way back. About 30 miles each way. The weatherman says it should warm up tomorrow. I sure hope so. I`m tired of this cold, wet stuff.

Rainy, windy and NASTY today. I did not enjoy delivering at all today. I couldn`t get warm. The wind kind of went right through you.Sitting here now with a cup of coffee. French Vanilla flavored creamer. I love it.
Got about 30 pounds more food. Now up to 2150.
Got my ballot for the Union agreement Saturday. I voted to accept and sent it right back. I`m just afraid that if we went to arbitration we would get the shaft like the rurals did.

Delivered the final load of food to the church. Stands at 2120 pounds for now.
Added some nice links. Check them out. The Bristol link has some great old photos. The Vermontdaily has a new Vt photo every day. I made it my home page. Please visit my links. The Virtual Wall is nice for remembering those that gave up thier lives for our freedom.
Rainy and chilly today. Not a very nice Mother`s Day.
