Another long week-end for most. I had it off but agreed to work tomorrow so Mike could play horseshoes in the New England Tournament. He travelled to Keene,New Hampshire after he worked today. His wife, Debbie, is number 1 in Vermont. Mike doesn`t do quite as well but he has a good time. I wish them both good luck.
At least the greedy baseball people settled something. Can you imagine playing a game you love and being paid the money they do. I would love to get what they get for swinging at a pitch. A few(hundred) thousand every time they play(or don`t play if injured). It`d be nice to get that for every letter delivered.(or not delivered if improperly addressed)

Another nice day. I was delivering flyers for Kinney Drugs and noticed potato chips and cheese curls on sale for .99 regular price $1.50. It got me thinking about chips and snacks. It`s amazing that you can always find chips for .99 somewhere. Why don`t they just make that the regular price. I don`t think anyone is so brand devoted that they will not buy the cheaper brand. I mean, I love Wise Potato Chips but if another brand is on sale, guess which one I buy. Maybe the secret is to stock up on your favorite brand when they are on sale. Sales run in cycles so in 2 or 3 weeks they will be on sale again anyway. Maybe I just have to much time on my hands when I`m walking around delivering the mail.

A great day today. Sunny and near 80. We could still use some rain. Been eating my tomatoes for over a week now. It makes up the better part of my evening meal. No one else in my home eats them so I get them all to myself. I sure will miss them when they are gone. hopefully that won`t be for a while. I still have lots of green tomatoes left to ripen. My sister-in-law is taking some of the ripe ones to make salsa. I`m sure she`ll share with us.
I noticed the story at Isabella`s Teddy about the Postie being attacked by a cat. Yesterday, I made a stop to deliver to 4 addresses. I left the door to the vehicle open and there was a cat inside when I got back. She left with no problems. Thank goodness. I would have been in trouble for leaving the door open.

A beautiful Sunday in beautiful Vermont. Upper 70`s and sunny. Had the day off. Only one since last Sunday until next Friday. Oh well, that`s how it goes.
