Went to "Old Timers" night last evening. It was a good time. It was at the St John`s Club in Burlington. Boy, do they put on a good feed. I had the baked stuffed chicken. MMM good. There were 23 retired letter carriers there. A great turnout. One of the retirees has almost reached the pinnacle of retired life. In Dec he will be retired from the Postal Service for as long as he worked there. 36 years.Wow,what an accomplishment. I think he`s in his early 90`s. He got a standing ovation when he was introduced. So good to see all the retirees and active carriers there.

Early Wednesday morning. Getting ready to head out the door. Weather has been pretty decent the past couple of days. Predicting the same for today. Sunny and above 70. We`ll take it. Heard on the news the other evening that The Farmers Almanac is forecasting a rather harsh winter. Cold and lots of snow. I certainly hope they are wrong this year. For those that aren`t aware of The Almanac (http://www.almanac.com/) it`s a publication that has been around for years. Many people swear by the predictions presented there. Farmers rely on it for planting etc.In all honesty, there is a lot of good information there. Everything from recipes to home remedys. All in all, a good read.
Off to work.

We`re back from our weekend away. Let me tell you, if anyone would like some ideas and ways to impeove thier marriages, a Marriage Encounter weekend is the way to go. What a time we had. Alot like work but the rewards are tremendous.
Back to work today. It rained most of the night but is just cloudy right now. Hope it stays that way. I dislike delivery in the rain. Not because I get wet but I don`t like getting the customers mail wet.
Great pictures of the teddy bear at Isabella`s Teddy . Check it out.
