A busy week. Snow and then rain. The sun shone the last couple of days and now it`s raining again, turning to snow by morning. Up to 5 inches by the end of the day tomorrow. Got winter treads on the postal vehicle on Tuesday morning. Noticed a big improvement right away.
Mike & his wife have gone on vacation. He`s visiting hie parents in Florida. Spending Thanksgivig with them. I think his son is visiting also from Texas. He saved over $200 by flying out on Thursday rather than waiting for the weekend. Strange how air fares work. I`ll never understand it. But then again, I don`t fly, so I guess I don`t need to know.

Well, we got our first major snow storm. About 8 inches fell Sunday night into Monday. Before that, there was some freezing rain so the drive to work this morning was real tricky for lots of people. It kind of surprised a lot of people even though they had predicted this since last Thursday. I know there were several people that didn`t get mail delivery today because I couldn`t get to the mail box. I`ll be darned if I`m going to get stuck just so someone can have thier People or Better Homes & Gardens magazines. If they can`t clear the mail box, I can`t deliver. And it`s my choice. If I think it`s unsafe then it`s unsafe. My boss backs me up 100% on that. I know some people say they have no problem getting to thier mail boxes. Yea, they drive a 4 wheel drive SUV with 2 feet clearance. I`m driving a 2 wheel drive postal vehicle. Nuff said.
