I don`t recall when I have been as cold as I have been the past two days. The temperature has barely gone above zero and even when it has, there has been a breeze so the wind chill has stayed well below zero. You have to keep moving. I made my loops smaller so I could get back to the truck quicker. There isn`t much of a break in sight. This week-end it may make it into the teens, maybe even twenty. On top of the weather, there has been plenty of mail. Of course, Tuesday was the day after a holiday(Martin Luther King Jr Day) and that automatically means more mail. Seed catalogs abound. Some people get three or four different ones. Most people get at least one.
Attended the American Legion Mid-Winter conference On Friday evening and Saturday. It was at the Radison in Burlington. Banquet on Friday. I had sirloin steak,Jean had turkey. Delicious. The new Governor(Jim Douglas) was there. He hails from Middlebury which is about twelve miles from Bristol. We got to stay at the Radison and attended meetings on Saturday. A very educational outing.
Legion meeting tonight. Will write more later.
