Wow, it`s been 10 days since I`ve been here. Time sure flies. Not a whole lot to report. It`s been rainy some and sunny some. This week has been mostly rain. The grass is getting high. I did get my tomato and cucumber plants in the garden. 12 tomato and 3 cucumber. Should be plenty for us.The pool is set up and filled. We got a bigger one this year. 15 feet round by 36 inches. Not enough to do alot of swimming but enough to cool off in. The kids love it. They haven`t been in yet. It hasn`t warmed up quite enough. We set up our pop-up in the driveway. There`s lots of room in it. We are scheduled to spend a month at River`s Bend Camping from July 11th to August 10th. I have 3 of the 4 weeks off. Can hardly wait. We`ll probably spend the night Friday out in the pop-up. The kids keep teasing to stay there. I won`t let them stay alone so either Mom or I have to stay with them. I`m sure it`ll be me. That`s okay, I don`t mind.
Each time I make an entry, I will also mention one of my pet peeves. Today I will talk about people that smoke in their vehicles with young children present. Those poor kids have no where to go to escape the second-hand smoke. Even with the windows down they still suffer. I just can`t imagine what parents are thinking about when they subject their children to that punishment. In the winter it must be pure torture for the little ones. I used to smoke. I quit about 20 years ago. That`s not why it upsets me. It`s just that second-hand smoke kills. And they have no escape.
