Another week-end has come and gone. Of course, it was my week-end to work so all I had was Sunday off. Yesterday was the Graduation for the local high school, Mt Abraham Union. My wife`s God Daughter was among those receiving diplomas. She graduated with honors and is headed for college in the fall. Going to Castleton State College. She`s a great kid and there was a party at her folks after the ceremony. I started work early so I made it in good time. I didn`t miss any of the festivities or any of the food. It was fun. When I started my deliveries yesterday, my neighbor just down the street had a hot-tub outside with a free sign on it.All the chemicals were there also. I grabbed my family and we walked the two houses to his place and snatched up that baby. The neighbor caught up with us a we were lugging it home and brought us the paper work that came with the tub. He said they were getting rid of it as they had no room for it in the house. Well. I put it in my backyard, near the pool and put a canopy over it. I filled it with water and have run it for several hours to warm it up. It started at 51 degrees and when I shut it down a little bit ago, it was up to 64. It takes a while to warm it up but after that, it will maintain the temperature easily. The original papers have an invioce and the price for the demo spa was $2648.10 in March of 2000. I think I got a terrific spa just for being in the right place at the right time.
My pet peeve for this post is people that don`t take the mail out of their mailboxes in a timely manner. I have several customers that only pick up the mail once a week or so. The boxes are so full that I have to squash things together to get stuff in. But since they won`t take their mail, I will do all I can to make everything fit.I`ve even been known to spend a few extra minutes rearranging things so that it all fits.I don`t want to have to carry the mail back to the office just to deliver again the next day.
